Shiitake mushrooms with calamari in 12 minutes.
Simple but tasty recipes, no special ingredients, frozen seafood, little prep, max result. The shiitake mushrooms can be substituted, for oyster, chestnut or even button mushrooms. Also, the shallots can be replaced by onion.
- 150g shiitake mushrooms
- 100g frozen calamari rings
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 piece ginger (3-4cm)
- 2 small shallots
- 2 spoons oli
- 2 spoons soy sauce
- Optional: coriander, parsley and chili
A little slicing is all the needed prep. Keep the smaller mushrooms whole, halve the others. Slice the garlic, shallot and the (after they have been defrosted) calamari rings. Chop the ginger into matchsticks. That’s all.
Heat up the oil in a wok to a high temperature. Add the shallots, garlic and ginger, stir-fry for 2 minutes then add the shiitake mushrooms and fry until they soften, 2-3 minutes.
Now add the calamari pieces and the soy, mix well and cook for 2 minutes. Serve as a starter, with fresh coriander or parsley and chopped chili over the top.
