Crispy deep fried marinated chicken tights recipe. Boneless.
This is a 2-in-1 recipe, the chicken tights are marinated in two ways with different ingredients. Both full of flavour and in the end the chicken is extra-crispy but still soft and juicy in the middle.
They could be also cooked on the griddle pan, under the grill or oven, even on the BBQ, I preferred to deep fry them this time.
- 10 pieces skinless and boneless chicken tights
- 1 chili
- 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 lime
- fresh parsley, thyme, rosemary, coriander
- 1 garlic clove or 1 spring garlic
- 2 spoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon each, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, celery salt
- 1/2 teaspoon each, cumin and chili flakes
- 2 spoons olive oil
- oil for frying
For half of the chicken tights, I’ve used a marinade made from onion and garlic powder, celery salt and smoked paprika together with the chopped chili, parsley and thyme. All finely chopped and mixed together with the lemon juice and one spoon of olive oil. Rub well all over the meat.
The other half, chili flakes, cumin and garlic powder. Mixed with the chopped garlic, rosemary and coriander. Then mixed again with the lime juice and soy sauce. Again, rub well into the meat.
Leave to marinate for at least 2 hours or even overnight in the fridge. Once out of the fridge, dust them well with plain flour, don’t shake off any excess. Deep fry them at 180C, aprox 5-6 minutes. If choosing to grill or BBQ them, then the flour dusting should not be applied.
