Aksular Turkish Restaurant , Enfield, UK. Short review.
I’ve been to a few Turkish restaurants in North London, and the food here is average in comparison.
The lamb yogurt soup, creamy and with enough meat pieces, lacked in dept of flavor, probably because of the way the stock was made, also it more seasoning could have done some good here.
The lahmacun or Turkish pizza, was fine, could have been crispier on the edges, the oven should run hotter.
Nothing really to complain about the salad and mezze, but the worst were the prawns. Although good value at £4.50 (starter) I had to send them back.
The chef, after asking said they were done in oil, but I find it hard to believe.
